About Us

Hi, I’m Kase Philip.

I started TheNigerian.com.ng because I noticed how easy it is to waste money on everyday things in Nigeria without even realising it. Transport, mobile data, moving around at night, even trying to stay fit, all of it adds up.

At some point, I got tired of guessing and just going with whatever option was in front of me. So I began paying closer attention. I tested things for myself, compared options, and tried to understand what actually works and what doesn’t.

This website is where I share what I’ve learnt.

What this site is about

The focus here is simple. I write about practical things that affect daily life, especially in Abuja.

That includes how to reduce what you spend on ride-hailing apps like Bolt and Uber, how to choose better data plans on MTN and Airtel, what options you really have when you’re out late at night, and how to stay fit without spending more than you need to.

Everything is written with one goal in mind: helping you make better decisions with your money.

How I approach things

I don’t believe in overcomplicating simple problems. If something works, I explain it in a way that’s easy to understand. If it doesn’t, I leave it out.

Most of what you’ll read here comes from actual use, observation, and paying attention to patterns. Prices change, services change, and things don’t always stay the same, so I try to keep things as current and realistic as possible.

A bit about me

Outside this blog, my life is pretty simple. I enjoy reading comic books, taking my dog Spark for walks, and spending time with my cousins.

That everyday routine is part of why this site exists. I’m not writing from a distance. I’m dealing with the same situations you are.

Why you might find this useful

If you’ve ever felt like you’re spending more than you should on transport or data, or you’ve struggled to figure out what works late at night in Abuja, then you’ll probably find something helpful here.
